Seven years. It feels like both a lifetime and the blink of an eye.
What started as an idea shared between two Civil Engineers has grown into a thriving company that’s helping reshape the way the construction industry works. Back in the early days, there were more questions than answers, but one thing was certain: innDex co-founders Aaron & George knew there was a better way to connect people, projects, and technology.
This month, innDex turns 7. As we take a moment to celebrate, we can’t help but look back on how far we’ve come, and the exciting road ahead. Let’s dive in.
First live project to our expansion across the globe.
Our story properly kicked off in 2019, when our first project went live in the UK. But it was our partnership with TSL that truly pushed us onto the global stage. Together, we’ve delivered projects in 9 different countries, showcasing how innDex can adapt to diverse markets and support some of the world’s most ambitious builds.
From those early collaborations, our reach has only continued to grow. innDex is now powering projects across 26 countries on 5 continents. Our first international venture was in 2021 in Australia. And most recently, we’ve completed the setup for McLaren’s state-of-the-art data centres in the UAE.
Today, over 20% of the UK workforce is registered on innDex. That’s one in five construction professionals using our platform, a stat that motivates us every day.
First Major Airport Project.
We secured our first major airport project at Heathrow in 2021, working alongside AtkinsRéalis. Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world, which meant the scale and security demands were massive. With strict regulations and thousands of people moving through every day, there was no room for error.
Taking on Heathrow marked a new chapter for innDex. Delivering value in such a complex environment opened the door to a wider range of projects, not only airports but data centres to pharmaceutical centres and beyond. This was a huge step up from where we started, and we’re proud to see how far we’ve come since.
innDex at BRG: From Projects to Company-Wide Adoption.
Since starting our partnership with BRG Technologies in 2022, the platform’s use has expanded well beyond traditional projects. What began as a tool for managing live projects is now embedded across BRG’s factories, design offices, and even their headquarters, marking a significant step in how innDex supports every part of their operations.
This is exactly what innDex was built for: connecting people, joining the dots, and making the whole operation more seamless. By breaking down barriers between different places, we’re helping teams to work as one unified, connected workforce.
Permits: Completing the Health & Safety Suite.
By the end of 2024, we rolled out Permits into Beta testing. The insights gained fast-tracked its official launch this year, completing the Health and Safety suite within innDex. This tool takes all the manual processes around permit checks and approvals off paper and into one streamlined digital system for site managers.
Permits were more than just a new feature. It marked the start of building our Competency Matrix, taking Health and Safety in Workforce Management to the next level. By integrating with partners like PPAC, Complete Competence, and CSCS, we’re making it easier than ever to verify competencies, keep projects running safely and efficiently, avoid fraud or non-compliance, and help clients take proactive measures to protect their people.
Getting published by the ICE.
Being published by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) was huge, not just for innDex, but for our co-founder George personally. It had been on his bucket list for years, and seeing it happen was a real pinch me moment.
A special shout-out to Giulia, who put so much effort into writing the paper and making this milestone possible.
The paper highlights Glencar’s adoption of the innDex digital workforce management platform, which has transformed site operations by delivering faster inductions, stronger compliance, and cost savings. This collaboration shows how data-driven technology can set new industry benchmarks for safer builds in construction.
This reminds us why we do what we do - working side by side with clients to deliver smarter, more connected construction, and shaping the future of the industry together.
New look, but the same innDex you love.
All of this growth and expansion meant we were due a refresh. Earlier this year (January 2025), we rebranded, and since then, you’ve likely noticed the changes rolling out across our social channels and platforms. But this isn’t just about new colours or a fresh look. Our new brand was shaped by the feedback of our clients, ensuring it truly reflects who we are and what we stand for.
At the core of this rebrand is a simple idea: putting the power back into the hands of construction people. We believe construction shouldn’t feel like a grind. It should feel like second nature; smooth, safe, and effortless.
Our new logo captures this perfectly. With two faces and the use of negative space, it represents moving forward together, while innDex works seamlessly in the background across every site.
