Every delivery that comes onto site brings a stack of information with it, and up until now, a lot of that information still had to be input manually. Not anymore.
Logging a delivery as a traditional process is very manual and admin intensive. Handwritten logs, stacks of paper that get filed away and lost, missed activities. With innDex, this process is fully digitised, with a templated form fill and taking a photo of the paper delivery note to attach as proof. But we felt that there’s always room for improvement. And the manual entry aspect can still leave a little room for the odd typo, missed field, or inconsistent format to creep in, however careful your team is.
So what’s changing? Our new AI Delivery Notes tool will now flip that process on its head. Your gate team still creates a new delivery note and takes a photo, same as before. But now, that's the whole job. innDex reads the photo, pulls out the details, and fills in the form for you. No more copying out what's already written on the paper in your hand.
Saving your gate team a few minutes matters, but it's not the whole story. The bigger win is consistency. Every delivery note now feeds clean, structured data straight into innDex, including materials information that flows through to your materials database. That means clearer visibility on what's coming onto site, and a stronger foundation for tracking things like carbon and water consumption against the materials you're using. A small change at the gate, a bigger picture across the whole project.
We're trialling the updated AI Delivery Notes feature on pilot projects now, ahead of a wider rollout across innDex. It's part of the broader work we're doing to build out our logistics tools this year, all pointed at the same goal: less time on paperwork, more time getting the job done.
